Steady Hands is a technology marketplace that connects professional body art artists, studios, and related businesses with clients seeking tattooing, piercing, cosmetic tattooing, and other body art services.
Steady Hands provides technology that facilitates discovery, communication, bookings, payments, and other related services. Steady Hands is not a provider of tattoo, piercing, cosmetic tattooing, or any other body art services.
Artists, studios, and businesses using Steady Hands are independent businesses and are not employees, contractors, agents, partners, or representatives of Steady Hands. Any agreement for services is entered into directly between the client and the service provider.
2. Eligibility
You must be of legal age in your country or region to use this platform. By accessing Steady Hands, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this requirement.
3. Health & Safety
Clients are solely responsible for determining whether they are medically suitable to receive any body art service.
Steady Hands does not provide medical advice and does not assess the safety or suitability of any tattoo, piercing, cosmetic tattoo, body modification, or related procedure.
Clients should consult an appropriately qualified healthcare professional regarding allergies, medications, infections, pregnancy, blood disorders, skin conditions, healing concerns, or any other medical considerations before receiving services.
Artists are solely responsible for conducting any consultations, obtaining informed consent where required, and complying with applicable health regulations.
4. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
- You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person or business/entity.
- You must notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
- You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts where fraudulent, abusive, or suspicious activity is suspected.
5. Bookings
- Clients book appointments directly with artists or businesses/entities through the platform.
- Bookings are confirmed once the artist accepts the request.
- Both parties are responsible for honoring confirmed bookings.
- Steady Hands is not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any service facilitated through this platform.
6. Artist Responsibilities
Artists and businesses using Steady Hands represent and warrant that they:
- Hold any licenses, permits, registrations, or certifications required within their jurisdiction.
- Comply with all applicable health, sanitation, consumer protection, and business regulations.
- Verify client age where required by law.
- Maintain any insurance required by applicable law.
- Provide accurate information regarding pricing, availability, policies, and services.
Steady Hands does not independently verify licences, qualifications, insurance, certifications, or legal compliance unless explicitly stated.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellation policies are set by individual artists or businesses/entities and displayed at the time of booking.
- Refunds, where applicable, are processed through Stripe and are subject to their refund documentation.
- Steady Hands reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion in cases of dispute.
- No-shows by either party may result in forfeiture of the booking deposit.
8. Payments
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe.
- Users receive payouts through their Stripe connected account.
- Steady Hands may charge a platform fee on transactions. This will be disclosed at the time of booking.
- Users must not use Steady Hands to avoid applicable platform fees or arrange off-platform payments intended to circumvent the Platform.
- We reserve the right to suspend transactions or payouts where fraud or unauthorized activity is suspected.
9. Profile Boost
Artist user accounts may purchase a Profile Boost to appear at the top of search results for a set period. Boost fees are non-refundable once activated. Steady Hands does not guarantee a specific number of bookings or profile views as a result of boosting.
10. Platform Features
We may introduce, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of Steady Hands at any time. Certain features may be released as beta features and may change or be discontinued without notice.
11. Content & Media
You represent and warrant that:
- You own or have permission to use all uploaded content.
- Your content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or intellectual property rights.
- Your content complies with applicable laws.
- You retain ownership of photos and content you upload to your profile or portfolio.
- By uploading content, you grant Steady Hands a non-exclusive license to display it on the platform.
- You must not upload content that is illegal, offensive, or infringes on third-party rights.
- We reserve the right to remove any content, and/or suspend/terminate accounts that violate these terms.
If you believe your intellectual property rights have been infringed through content available on Steady Hands, please contact us and we will investigate and, where appropriate, remove the content.
12. Messaging
Our in-app messaging is provided for booking-related communication only. You must not use messaging to harass, threaten, or send unsolicited promotional content to other users. We reserve the right to monitor communications to ensure platform safety, as well as suspend or terminate any user(s) found improperly utilizing messaging and the messaging features.
13. Reviews
Reviews must be honest and based on genuine booking experiences. Users must not post:
- False or misleading reviews;
- Defamatory or abusive content;
- Discriminatory or hateful content;
- Reviews intended to extort or manipulate another user.
Steady Hands reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these Terms.
14. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Create fake bookings or fraudulent accounts;
- Attempt to hack, disrupt, upload malicious software or harmful code, reverse-engineer the platform, or interfere with platform security
- Scrape, harvest user or platform data or send spam
- Discriminate against other users on any protected basis
- Infringe intellectual property rights
- Manipulate reviews or ratings
- Improperly utilize Steady Hands or any of its features
15. Intellectual Property
The Steady Hands name, logo, branding, software, platform design, text, graphics, and related intellectual property are owned by Steady Hands or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms grants any ownership rights in the Steady Hands platform except the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
16. Disclaimers
Steady Hands provides the Platform on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted availability;
- Error-free operation;
- The accuracy of user-generated content;
- Artist availability;
- Booking acceptance;
- Service quality;
- Compatibility with every device.
Steady Hands does not verify artist licences, insurance, qualifications, certifications, or experience unless expressly stated.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Steady Hands shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, injury, loss, damages, disputes, property damage, infection, allergic reaction, dissatisfaction, loss of earnings, data, reputation, or other outcome arising from services provided by artists or businesses using the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.
18. International Use & Jurisdiction
Steady Hands is operated from and governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the company is registered. By accessing this platform from another country, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
- Age requirements: The legal age for tattoos and piercings and body art alike varies by country and region. You are responsible for ensuring you meet the legal age requirement in your own jurisdiction before booking or engaging with any service.
- Service availability: Steady Hands does not guarantee that the platform or any of its features are available or appropriate for use in all countries.
- Tax obligations: Artists and Businesses/Entities are solely responsible for declaring and paying any taxes applicable to their earnings in their own jurisdiction.
- Consumer rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your country.
19. Third-Party Services
Steady Hands integrates with third-party service providers including payment processors, hosting providers, mapping services, analytics providers, and communication services.
Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Steady Hands is not responsible for third-party services beyond our reasonable control.
20. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising from your use of Steady Hands shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the courts of competent jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you retain the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
Where changes materially affect your rights, we will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice.
22. Force Majeure
Steady Hands shall not be liable for delays or failures resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, internet outages, cyber attacks, labour disputes, pandemics, or failures of third-party service providers.
23. Electronic Communications
By creating an account or using Steady Hands, you consent to receive electronic communications relating to your account, bookings, payments, security notifications, and updates to these Terms.
